Hey guys, I have a 73 1.7 Camper that I am running a center mount progressive webber with a 009 dissy...now I know this isn't the most favored setup, but I was wondering if I could get some help making it run a little better.

I can get it to idle around 1000-1400rpm without my foot on the brake, but once I depress the break I am guessing the brake changes the manifold pressure and causes the engine to rev to about 2000rpm. Other wise the car revs pretty good and will cruse all day long with no probs. Anyone seen this before? I know I could just disconnect the hose but I really like how it stiffens up the breaks.

One last thing...I have a set of 40idf webbers that I want to throw in there when I get the time, but at that point do I just forget about the break booster or is there a better place for it to hook up to?

There is (or should be) a one-way valve in the brake booster vacuum line. It sounds as though the valve is missing or not functioning.
I tapped the intake manifold when I installed the DRLA's. One cylinder wasn't quite enough vacuum, two works pretty well. All four would probably be even better.

Yea, I know where the check valve is...I will give it a look tomorrow.

So, with the dual setup you would just have to plum a vac hole in each cylinder? Sounds like alot of plumming to me...any other solutions out there? how bout increasing the breaking power and forgetting the booster? any suggestions welcomed!

You actually put the vac connections in the intake manifolds. I decided that would be easier than redesigning the brake system.
