Has anyone thought about running coil-over shocks instead of torsion bars on the front/rear of their lowered van?

The mounting for the shock on the front is designed for stress pulling down, and doesn't have the substance for the weight of the van pushing up via the coil over springs. You'll break things if you do this.

Torsion bars are good... If you want I can go into all the wonderul reasons to keep them, but just trust me and Porsche on that issue.

Derek is 100% right any coil overs will start killing the car.

I am sure beefier torsion bars and leaves are available if you look hard enough.
