Solex 34 pdsit

Post by JeffH »

Hi,
Was just inspecting my carbys and noticed that if I touched the accel pump lever on the left hand carb and moved it slightly sideways (not acutuating it but across its normal motion)the revs drop significantly.
The right side carby does not do this.
Also felt slightly moist on the linkage.
Have I got a leaking diaphram? and why would this affect the idle speed.
thanks
Jeff

??? I am not exactly sure what you are talking about, but if you suspect the carbs are not running right just rebuild them.

These are easier to rebuild than a 34-PICT-3 by a long shot. They are well designed carbs that no one likes for some reason.
