What would be a safe RPM limit for a T-4 (used in a Ghia)?
For a street motor, which works better, 44 or 48mm carbs? I'm planning to use 103mm pistons with a 71 or 78mm crank.?
What is a "Real World" power & torque expectation for a hot T-4 (as well as longevity)?
How complete is the Porsche fan kit from Knuf?

The RPM limit you use depends a lot on the crank you use, the heads, cam, carb, and more. If you use a performance cam, dual springs, go with a counterweigted crank, and build the engine properly then over 6000 RPMs won't be a problem. I am not going to spin my engine combo faster than 7000K ever, and I am trying to build it so that I can do that for a long time.
I would go with 48 IDFs over 44s for your combo. If you go with big heads and the 78x103 configuration you will need the dual 48s. That is the exact size which my combo is going to be, and I am going to run 48 IDFs. Probably with machined 42mm venturis instead of the normal 40s.
The A. Knuf Power Tuning Parts fan kit can be as complete as you want. You can buy all the parts or only specifics.

The 48 IDFs are a fine choice. I would add that we ran a single 44IDF on the same combo. Webbers are so tuneable that nearly anything from 40s to 48s can be made to work. How much carb or carbs you need goes beyond displacement, the cam, compression, and port work are some the other things to comsider.
