I'm currently working on a restoration of a '55 Beetle. I'm working on the tunnel/emergency brake setup, and have come accross something odd/different from what I've ever seen before. An emergency brake cable runs to the front of the tunnel and is fixed to a plate at the very front of the tunnel. Does anyone have info on this setup? I've noticed that many suppliers only list parts for 56 and later emergency brakes, so maybe if someone has experience on anything '55 and older? Thanks!
