a little squishy brakes!
in my 73 super i just bled the brakes and stuff. and the brakes feel solid for the most part and if i pump a lil really fast i can get them rock hard, but the first time i hit the brakes or if i push slow...its a li bit squishy (not squishy like air in lines)i cant find any leaks anyware so does that mean my master cylinder plungers are bad?? do i need a nw MC or can i rebuild it?

sounds like you may have a warped disk or drum, this will cause the pads/shoes to back off and take more pumping to make contact.

Possibly warped disc/drums.. But simply using the brakes will immediately reveal warpage, as the effect is similar to square tires.. not subtle at all.
Could the rubber brake hoses be the problem here?

try pumping them up hard, keep foot pressure on there for a few minutes ( might listen to radio )
if after you start to feel pedal go down you either have a leaking master cyl, or a leak somewhere else.
might take the boot of master and check for fluid,

i dont think it is warped drums cause when i do get a firm brake when rolling at any speed i dont feel the pedal pushing back and letting off like a warped drum would.

How do you adjust your brakes? Do you adjust them up until they drag or right before that? This can have some effect on the "topness" of the brakes as well.
Also I agree with rubber lines maybe inflating some.

i just replaced the rubber brake hoses from the resivor to the metal tubes....and other rubber lines i need to check. when i hit the brakes i still get braking action but not as much as when i pump them...im going to bleed the brakes again just in case!
