VW Distributer??

My distributer in my '64 Bug does not look like most VW distributers I've seen. It looks larger and the condensor is actually mounted inside.
Did VW ever make a dizzy like this?

does it have any serial numbers on it,possibly on the firewall side,very hard to see too.

They used both Bosch & VW distributors around that time. Most were Bosch, but yours sounds like it is a VW. It'll look wider & squatter than the usual Bosch item if so.
