Has anybody installed one of these? What's invovled and how hard is it?

It is very easy to install. Fidning a place too mount it is the hardest part. You have attach a few wires thats it.

Where would you recommend mounting it? This is in a Beetle BTW

I posted a picture of my install once somewhere here on this forum. Do a search for "CDI" and the thread should pop up.

My CDI module is mounted on the firewall in the upper corner of the passenger side.

Mine is mount on fan shroud abouve and to the left of the generator.
