i'm rebuilding a front k/l beam assembly i got from a junkyard. all is going well. i got the king pin bushings in and trimmed the slots.
anyone have a suggestion on the reaming? i cant find a reamer locally... what about a brake cylinder hone? it appears that about .012" (12 thousanths) needs to be reamed off.
thanks

Hone is fine - actually better than reaming if the link is straight and the bushings are concentric.

I used a reamer and a brake cylinder hone, the hone worked great!

You need a reamer W/the pilot that centers in the lower un-finished bushing.
These are no longer made and only a few people have them.
Honing them might work, but isn't the correct way to perform this service.
