Can you mount a TB (say Mustang) at any angle. Or, slight angles. For clearance problems or turbo alignment?

Yep. I've seen "downdraft" and "updraft" throttlebodies, as well as the typical "sidedraft" Mustang 5.0 TB. This allows you to mount nearly any TB in whatever position you want in order to ensure proper clearances and throttle cable operation.

Yep any angle will do...just try not to get a 90 degree right before the entrance to the runners, without having a plenum box behind it. You need to have some space behind a sharp angle to "straighten" the air flow to get rid of as much turbulence as possible before you contact the runners, or else you may lose some velocity trying to get it all smoothed out in the runners.
