I am about ready to paint my 67', but I know there are some imperfections in the body work and I will not be redoing it, as they are minor enough. But my question is what is the best color to paint the car that will show these imperfections the least?
Thanks for any suggestions

Gigantic metalflake - put a crust of that on and nobody'll be able to focus on the ripples.
Seriously, white is the "hidin'-est" and dark colors are the worst.

i think that the best color is acrylic white, because you can polish all the parts if you want, or sanding...
metalic colors are very sensibles to the surface, if your surface are not fine enough, you will notice all the inperfections...
why you don't redo the body preparation? you can paint a thin coat of satin black, and with a block sanding to discover where the car are not fine...
do the best...and cry only one time
Good luck

If they are "minor", take them out. It will take less than a day and you will be happier with the results. Then you can paint it any color you want.

Any color just keep your car 20/20, twenty feet or twenty miles and hour, and ya wont notice any small imperfections. A light grey hides a lot also.
Have a good one Dave

Thanks for the input. Does anyone have any pics of silver bugs? I think I will go silver with polished 5 spokes.

I would choose a white, or light color and stay away from ANY flake! (like a lot of silvers)
I painted mine like an off white ..like a vanilla shake. Looks really good for my first paint job.
Make sure you do a base-coat clear-coat because you can repair your mistakes and sand and buff it out, even if it looks like crap, you can save your paint job!
Metal flake is hard to lay down, esp. for a rookie. If all the flake isn't standing up in the same direction, it will look like you haveripples in your body... and repairing/matching the flake will be very hard for a rookie. Stick with something light colored, no flake, bc/cc!!!
