Stop Light Problem.

Post by thinger »

A friend told me my stop light on the passenger side had burned out. I had put long life bulbs in and was surprised one had burnt out so fast. Turn out the little plastic thing that holds the contact against the point of the bulb had broken off. This is on a NOS genuine VW tail light assembly (HELLA)! Damn thing shouldn't have broken.

I'm a little disappointed. Still, the quality is much better than the cheap aftermarket junk. Thank goodness for JB Weld.

Amen Brother, Recently bought a set of those flat Brazilian tail lights and what a difference in quality. Not even compatable. Oh well they`re only $40 and went on quick and easy but still in the back of my mind I`ll be happy when they`re worn out and I can go back to the good ones. Good luck. Bob Ingman
