Anyone know of beefed up tie rods for a stock Thing front beam? Will be using Bilstein BN46 0493 front shocks with a BN22 0028 damper and Ghia front disc brakes. Any idea so I can beef up the front and increase travel would be appreciated. K-mann

Chubb I`m warning you for the last time. If you have nothing intellegent to contribute then please refrain from comment entirely. One more time and I`ll contact your local library to request your privleges be revoked. And if that does`nt do the job I`ll contact your PO and have that revoked as well.
Kubelmann, sorry about that.He seems to have adopted the position of village idiot here(no offense to you chubb). Good to have you with us here at the 181 forum. However we`re a mixed group here. Some being into restoration, some into low-riding and yet others the pursuit and challenge of the back roads. I am going to refere you to the off-road forum (which I seldom do ) because that particular group of guys are quite suspension knowlegable. Keep coming back here as well and leave this post in effect. Good luck. Bob Ingman

Don't worry Bob I have run into that red neck fellow on other VW lists. He seems to "bug" some people but I think his consitent spelling is impressive. Thanks for refering me to the other list and I will continue to visit here as well. I look forward to seeing you in August. K-mann
