I got the new top from the Thing Shop in Chandler,AZ and by the video you are suppose to be able to lift the flap around the edge of the top and place it over the window edge preventing the window from moving outward when driving. Problem we have is the flap is too short and tight and the small bracket used to hold it to the frame get in the way of performing this action.
So, if anyone has any ideas what one can do I am interested as well.

P.S. Sent the BN4 heater off to the "Heaterman" and got the total the other day...so much for all the extras I was gonna order, but I can't wait to have heat in the car.

After 8 months in the shop (total mechanical restoration), my '73 is ready to come home. Since I'm in the northeast, and it's still frigid around here, I was hoping to get a little info (or at least some sympathy) from others with winter driving experience in Things.

I've got a stock hardtop (with one of those luggage racks, no less), and brand new GMW plastic side curtains. No heater, of course. I heard once that side curtains have a tendency to seperate slightly from the side of the car when driving over 40mph or so - any truth to this? Since there's a chance of snow, I want to know what to expect in terms of the elements either staying out of, or getting into the car. Really don't want to mess up those new pans just yet. Any insights are greatly appreciated.

Well, side-curtain seperation or not, she's coming home tomorrow. Forecast is for 18-29 degrees. I'm bringing along lots of wool clothing, a pocket handwarmer, and a few assorted tools for my 200-mile journey. Will be convoying with a friend, and his '67 splity. Will try to post a photo or two next week.

I have sets of "D" shaped self adhesive rubber window seals that go for $15 per set including shipping. They seal the windows nicely. pmail me if you are interested. K-mann

Hey K-mann, the side curtains actually weren't all that bad. My driver side curtain was the only one to seperate about an inch or so, but I think it's because there's a small piece of top tubing pushing it out. Will try to fix - if it doesn't work, those seals may be a good idea.
