ARE THING SHOCKS READILY AVAILABLE AND IF SO PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR RECOMMENDATION FOR TYPE AND SOURCE, THANKS

There is a wide variety of shocks available for the Thing. Bilsteins are great (cost more). KYB come next (way chaeper) and you can even get some Monroes (cheapest) that are OK. It depends on how and where you drive. Check out

I got the Bilsteins but wasn't told by the vendor that I needed the VW adapter kit, p/n 131498441 in order to mount them

B46-0620 HD. Adapter kit screws on to end of shaft and has all the new rubber fittings for the top mount
