I have a problem...
When I look throught the list it seems there is some conflicting info (or so my brain tells me!!) about what bearings I can use in the wbx...
I had a late 1.9 case built up with a new 2.1 crank and to DJ spec.. this goes well and I am pleased..
But I have an old (the original engine) sitting here that was in great shape until the dreaded water pressurisation..
I feel the engine could be worth saving and building up into something a bit better (maybe a turbo/budget power, I would like to do that!!) so would like to know what bearings I can use to do the bottom end.... As far as I am aware there are no bearings for the early case in Europe..
Early (1983) 1.9, DG case...
Cheers

Try CSP in Germany, they advertise these available on their web-site.
You can combine a Type I set W/ a Type IV set + thrust shim (1mm).

Ok thats what I am getting at..
I thought (was told) the type 4 is different...
Ok, type 1 shells for the rods as they are the same!!
But mains??
Sorry if this seems daft/basic... can you tell me which one is different and what to use??
No wonder I am confused..
Thanks

The rods bearings are Type I....
The mains on a 1.9 are all std. Type I, less the Thrust...
The Thrust is std Type IV W/ a 1mm narrower width, (where the bearing goes in the case)
Hence the 1mm shim needed..

Ok, I see now..
Si I could get a set of type 1 bearings and a set of type 4's, just use the type 4 thrust and need to shim it..
Shims?? suppose that needs to be phospor bronze/similar and nobody doing them??
Suppose, it isnt worth trying to reuse the old one unless perfect!!
