In the June 02 volksworld issue has a article with a beetle with a wbx installed and the radiator in the firewall position.
Any more info on this ? (my copy of vw was destoyed!).Maybe some from the members from the UK has some more info ???

The rad was mounted where the rear luggage space was, it all being but out. Air was ducted to the rear via those scoops on the rear quarters. The rad and fan look to be like a Golf GTI item. Unless you can get lots of air in there, it's not the best place. You can't beat having one right up front. I'm putting a WBX in my Fastback with the rad mounted up front, grafting grilles into the front valance to get in as much air as possible. What are your plans ?
