search not searching everything

how come the search function only searches the really recent posts and not the older posts?

There is a problem with the search pulling up posts made before the conversion to the new site. Not sure if/when it will be resolved.

I've noticed that if I search for all of my posts it'll return everything back to when I first showed up here (May 2002) but if I search for a specific word it only returns those since April 2003.

It really would be a shame if all that info was lost.

I wish it would show up in searches (for people who do use this function).
