I have a 1915 in a Sand Rail. The motor has just been rebuilt. I installed the motor and did the static timing.
Here's the problem.... When I turn the key to start the motor the engine turns but no spark, HOWEVER when ya let go of the key to return it to the run position WHAMO ya get a brief splurry of spark. Sometimes enough spark to fire up the motor.
Could the problem be in the switch? because it wasn't doing this before the engine was rebuilt and no wiring was touched, or could it be in the Coil? or the Condensor? or?

It could be in the switch (not an uncommon scenario in fact with a latemodel stock switch) or it may just be that the starter is dragging down the supply voltage below that needed by your ignition system - and that could indicate any of several problems in the ignition. Put a testlight on the positive coil terminal and observe it - if it goes completely out while cranking my money's on the switch.
