when big motors go bad

Post by Shad Laws »

Hello-

Another interesting note: those are _not_ original-style head studs. Stock ones have 10mm threads and an 8mm shank - a nice undercut stud. Those don't... that's not good...

Take care,

Did you open up the case yet? what's the damage like on the lifters?
I have a friend that just got a 2,366cc engine, and we're waiting to open it up to see what's going on.

Hello-

well if I have my way I'll soon be sporting a set of your Nickies and ARP hardware... Jake, is that option available in any of your kits?

Yes, he does work with them.

Will the 102s fit in my case?

Yes, but you'll have to measure the case spigot. I've seen both 107mm and 108.5mm used - we can do either. Also, find out what's up with those studs... are M12 threads still in the case?

Take care,

AAAHHHH!!! The dreaded "foot" shot!!! Image

Nasty looking motor, It's scary to think how people put motors together.

Have fun and welcome to the list!

Later,
Tom
