1/4 window problem

The installation of my front and rear windows were bad enough. Then the 1/4 window install became even worse. The car is a 58 the window was supposed to be from 1955 to 60 would this be correct? Then the WCM rubbers seamed to be to large for the glass or the glass was to large. I dont have the 1/4 pillar at the moment. Every time I tried to offer up the window I could only force it until it was about 1 inch from the radius at the rear. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
