I've been updating my site frequently on my current status of the rod. Here's what I did to it a few days ago

I've never personally seen any Kubel before besides mine. Florida's too far a haul for me  The Kubel won't be touched for awhile, busy with the rod. It'll stay as is but won't be restored for years at least.

It'll be one-of-a-kind once finished. Looked too normal as is for me. It'll be channelled, sectioned, chopped, raked, etc etc and super low once finished. A few tricks that will be kept a secret until finished. Check out www.runtrod.com for updates on my project.

After an 8" section job:

I look at your site and it is jaw-dropping :o I've always admired the look of hot rodded Beetles. I was wonder if you happen to know of shops on the east coast that could Chop the Top of my beetle? Or if you know of websites i could go to to get more info on doing my own Choptop

A local garage in Baltimore City can do choptops. Also checkout my "How To Atricles" section on my site. There's at least 3 step-by-step articels with photos there about chop tops. Also check out www.volksrods.com forums. Lots of great help there about custom mods and general VW stuff as well :!:

Email or PM me for more info if you'd like.

The 3.5" floor pan drop is almost finished on one side:

I never saw a bug cut up so badly, man you must be a body man genious, to say the least. good luck, and great ideas!
I can't even fix a body pannel with body filler, it always comes out looking like $hit!
I guess a chop-top would be no problem for you?

I've decided to try and sell the Kubel. Any serious offers (trades + cash also) will be considered. Won't find a Kubel this low, especially with a KDF chassis....

I put the body on to see if it looks close to my plans. So far so good  Body remounted about 9" back from stock...
