re-wiring my thing

My dash wiring is a rat's nest. 12 volt outlet has been removed as has brake warning light. would like to re-do, including the ignition/key area. Will need good wiring kit and very good instructions. Any suggestions?

Radioman, I would recomend the HP book "Automotive Electrical Handbook" by Jim Horner. This book is very VW friendly since it is a kit car manual more or less.
There is instruction for making your own harness, installing components, rewiring an electrical system, converting to a breaker system ect ect.
The book is commonly available and can be found or ordered through your public library system. Good luck. Bob Ingman
