Bumper guards

What's a fair price for 412 bumper guards, NOS?

Does anyone here have them on their car? I think they look kind of cool. A 412 wagon I'm looking at doesn't have them, so... I was wondering if it's worth it to buy them at a soon-to-expire auction on eBay.

Or did I just start a potential bidding war.... :)

I guess the question is...other than clean chrome is there any reason to need NOs...unless you are just collecting them because they aren't common in NOS. Thats a good reason in itself. They are the same as type 3, so it should be easy to turn them around if necessary. i would not pay over $50 for a set. Just not that rare if i had to have bumper guards. I have them on the back of my 412. I don't like the way they look in the front...but they are nice.Ray

Thanks Ray. I missed the auction ending but he said he'd make me a deal anyway. We'll see.

Another question, how rare are the original luggage racks? NOS or otherwise.

Pretty rare. I actually have not seen enough of them to tell you if there is a "correct" pattern for one. I think most were pretty much what would fit and what the dealer would install. Ray
