can someone please walk me through removing the rear window in my 63.....it has the trim and my wife is convinced that i'll break it i attempt it without an instructi0on booklet for dummies...thanks.....

Are you trying to preserve the trim? That's probably the toughest part.

But here's the story: once you get the trim off, however you plan to do it, (Sorry, I never bother with it, I just go to Cal-look rubber) take a utility knife and cut around the end of the window, which is basically in one of the trim grooves. Once you've cut that off, one person pushes out from the inside, the other catches the window from the outside. Presto. Glass out.

yeah i do want to keep the trim but am planning on going to the cal look.

Here's how to do it.

With something sharp and stiff, like a linolium (sp) knife, cut under the trim from the outside. You may have to go around more than once, but this will cut the rubber that holds the trim so it can be removed whole. Then have someone inside the car gently push. The window will fall out easily.
