Where can I get one of those cool spare tire carriers that are attached to the back of the Thing? Anybody know about how much they cost?

here's a somewhat similar question - instead of spending $275 for a Thing Shop version, has anyone installed a spare tire carrier from another vehicle? perhaps something you could get from the junkyard for $50?

I'm in San Diego, Ca- I'm assuming that the LA you're from isn't Los Angeles- might be a little far for me to go. Wow- 275 bucks? Seems a little pricey-

It could be possible. It will reqire creativity, and possibly welding.
Also, find another junkyard. That's way too much.
