My 73 Thing has front Ghia disc brakes, rear Porsche 944 disc brakes. I have a type three master cylinder. This brake set up is roughly based on suggestions in Jeff Hibbards book. Today I was installing the pedals and all went well until i attempted to install the brake pedal plunger. It seems that the plunger is far too long to work. I can modify the plunger via lathe but before I do this I would appreciate any input from any who have done some brake modification. Input would be appreciated. K-mann

do you know if the travel of the master cylinder is the same for the t3 master and a thing master? if it is the same or very close, couldn't you just put a spacer between the master and the pan (to mover the master forward) and use longer mounting bolts? you could mock this up with washers to get the thickness needed, then have a spacer block laser cut or machined to suit.
