The spindles & brake drums are different, and 4-lug drums have no hole to allow access to the adjusting stars so the backing plates need to have slots for that purpose. Otherwise, everything will interchange. Thing flex hoses have a unique 181 part number but the Beetle parts should fit (length might be an issue, I don't recall).

Be more specific about which exact parts you want to use in this interchange. I have a very good parts interchange list data base.
