Beauty Rings -- Which Interchange

We have a 73 thing...
Until I wear out my NEW tires, was thinking of getting some beauty rings...
I'm guessing that Thing rims interchange with earlier bus rims (for beauty rings)... any ideas? or would anything 5 bolt work?

Things run 14" tires. Bus wheels will work . I haven't done it but I understand that there are clearance issues with the regular 15" bug wheels on a Thing. A friend says that the 15" bus wheels ride better, but perhaps he just had better tires.

I`m sure the bus and thing rims are an interchange where the beauty rings are concerned. However they are not an interchange on the car. The offset is wrong. Though they are both a 14" rim you can discern the difference at a glance due to the slots in the bus rim that are absent in the Thing wheel. Best of luck. Bob Ingman

BUS RIMS

Bus rims will work on the rear only,
will rub on the front
bug rims will work all the way around.
not the right offset.
