Nice looking car, but i'm not a fan of those tail lights.

The car looks stock and you should consider putting the "elphant foot" tail lights on to complete the stock look.

Just my opinion.

Awwe.. come on Glenn. It looks great... and its probably just the start of making it into an awesome semi custom.

I say keep going. Slam it, Alloy it, 2 liter it... or just plain enjoy it. =)

Hey.. the car does look great, but owning a 74 for 30 years makes me partial to the stock Elephant Foot tail lights. It doesn't make it rith or wrong... just my $0.02.

Thanks for the compliments. The work has just begun,I don't plan on doing much to the body but the engine is a different story . Nothing radical just enough to keep from getting squashed on the interstate. :D

I love the phat feet like anyone else. These were cherry and I swapped every so often before I sold it.

Its just I respect all styles. Do whatever you like to keep the old cars running and not rotting away...Except baja'ing a perfectly good bug! Use a wrecked one for that purpose. I hounded this kid for years that had a perfect unrestored rustfree 66 bug. He never would sell it to me. Then one day it turned up with the fenders whacked, wheels inverted, ass cut off - Ugggh.. my heart sunk! Now that is doing something wrong - not changing taillights back and forth with fads!

That thrashed baja 66 was given to me for free later and sits (with tranny froze along with the hubs) in my vw scrap cars now and I use it for parts. Dang Shame!

Enjoy your ride. Excellent base to do whatever you like.

I have the flat ones, but I like both when they are smoked.

Car looks sweet, I'd take the rims and have them Chromed or powder coated and then put the hub caps back on, would look so NICE

She looks sweet Burnout_73 :D
Here's my baby, at her peek of last summer. I can't wait for spring, I'm sitting in 20 below freezing temps, and major snow. :( I miss driving on hot days, or even in the rain
