Car Trailer Recommendation

Post by Capn Skully »

Because of my many trips out into the world of capturing lost and missing bugs, buses and things I decided to buy a trailer. I searched the Baton Rouge area and looked at trailers that belong to other club members and car trailers at various shows. I found a dealer in Hammond, LA that sells very nice and well made utility trailers. These trailers had various features I really liked.

The tongue of the trailer is 3" x 5" inch angle iron and goes all the way back to the first axle. Almost all the welds are fully filled along any seams. The fender support in the rear is another full five inch piece. The trailer is built and welded good enough that I could actually jack it up using the taillight brackets. I was testing it yesterday and it worked quite well for my X-Terra. The Thing had a little trouble but I only had to raise the tongue jack all the way up and then the Thing drove right onto the trailer.

If any one is interested in a trailer there is only one dealer right now in Hammond. The manufacturer is looking to set up dealers in other nearby states.

If you need any kind of trailer let me know I can put you in touch with the dealer here. I don't have any finacial interest in this company other than the manufacturer is a friend and I would like to see him succeed.

This trailer with the spare tire and carrier was less than $1500.
