Believe it or not, I was able to find a replacement for mine last year at a FLAPS. I was really, really surprised to have found one so easily and I believe it ran about $70.00.

Good luck,
Rick

My local Car Quest, Autozone and O'Reilys can get these starters. I have some here but they aren't very good, I was saving them for future exchanges.

k-mann.

the auto trans starter is SR-17.

usually it is SR-17X, the x meaning rebuilt, but you can also get SR-17N which is a new unit.

they are commonly available, any bosch dealer will have it in stock or be able to get it quickly.

Thanks Scott for the SN17 information, This entire thread was started (by me) because I wanted to find out a few things.

First I wanted to find out if a lot of folks had donor cores that I could get so I could rebuild one as a spare.

Second I wanted to find out if this starter was still commonly available. Where I live such information is non existant. K-mann
