Anybody running the stock WBX Bosch ignition on high performance engines?? I have seen a couple of racers i Sweden who did but that's years ago. And what about rev limiter? It would be nice to have a launch RPM setting or a over rev limiter.

wasser ignitions
I run one on my street car (type 1). I had access to one, so I thought I would try it. It requires some work to remove the wiring from the stock van harness. It has the bonus of vacuum advance for high speed cruising. Although, I don't think I get much vacuum out of my 44 IDFs. I haven't spent any dyno time checking the power vs 009s, but it does seem to run well. I can look up the advance curve if you like, I think I have it somewhere. It is in the Benley manual. It isn't really adjustable like Mallory or MSD distributors. If I was running a serious racecar I would opt for something I could tune. I also switched to the W8BC Bosch plug because it has a projected tip.

There is no rev limiter. The wassers use a fuel cut.
