Greetings all -
I am still having trouble locating other sites and or periodicals for purchasing a 181.I have looked on samba and 181 registry, was curious to know where else to look. I was to look at one this week and it was sold right out from underneath me. Needless to say the amount of disappointment. I am looking for somethng driveable or close to driveable that i can enjoy and slowly restore...if anyone has any ideas, comment or just general FYI please feel free to contact me...
thanks

i found mine using http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/
you can search geographically or nationwide by specific make/model. It took a few months to find one at the price/condition I was looking for.

What price are you willing to pay? How far are you willing to go to get one? What do you want to end up with, as in stock off-road street car etc. I know where there are 5 well know Things for sale that are under $8K right now. Money talks and some other stuff walks. I can hook you up if you are serious about getting a Thing. Ken C in Houston has a batch of them that are for sale if you have $ ready to spend. There is a Yellow 73 Thing in Colorado Springs for sale for $6500 that is owned by a friend that ran the Thing Fling I and II. I could hook you up with car with one local phone call. That Thing has been indoors for most of its life and is all there. Feel free to pmail me if you are truly interested. There is a Thing in CT, another in Florida and others that are ready for delivery just add $. K-mann
