Between 411/412 years and other VW models? What about Porsche?

There were only two basic steering wheels that came on the 411/412 to this country. There was the 3 spoke wheel that only showed up here on the 1970/71 models. I know where a nice one can be had if anyone needs it. It is the first visible distinction that you have an early model. The rest of the wheels were identical to what you would find in a standard like...70 and on betle....but not the last years of superbeetle. They use the same splines as beetle and type 3. They use the same wiper/washer/brights...lever assembly as late type 3 and some beetles. they use the same ignition switch assembly as late type 3. They use the same seat belt winder assembly as late type 3...but with a differnt bolt on bracket. Ray
