Hi all, no disrespect to the rest of the world but was just wondering if there is any UK Thing / Trekker forum users here. Wouldnt mind catching up with a few since I have a few things I'd like to locate and get local advise on. Here are some of the things I am thinking about:
1. Sources of decent mud / off-road 14" tyres
2. Spare wheel !
thanks

Hello Guy
I'm not in UK but not very far away (I live in France).
We have here at least 2 off road tires in size 185R14:
- Blackstar Guyane
- Fedima Extreme
Price is about 75 euros for each tire.
You can see some pictures of these tires in the french section of my site:

PS: a friend of mine is looking for a VW Typ 182 at a decent price.

I have a 182 that was never intended to be sold in the Uk. This car was built and sent to Senegal and returned to the vw plant in Mexico to be sold. I belive it is the last 182 built since it is a 1976 car. If anyone knows of a later car please let me know.

I'm in the UK but don't have a trekker..........tube framed manx clone in midst of a rebuild. Look in a 4x4 mag or Total Off Road for numerous advertisers for off road tyres. I'd expect something like a suzuki jeep might have a 14" fitment, maybe. Can't help on the spare wheel front, sorry. Where in UK are you? presumeably your going off roading if so where? I just joined the AWDC and want to do Comp safaris when the buggy is back in one piece. Building it to MSA specs.

There are loads of 182 and 181 owners on volkszone, but they are all lowering them!
I've got a couple (one of each), although the 181 is a parts car. I'm based in the midlands (UK).
Try
www.Volkszone.com for a spare wheel?
