Lets hear from those of you here in the SE that are coming, maybe we can have a Type 4 "get together", maybe bang around some ideas?

I'll be there! I doubt my 411 will be there with me since I haven't even gotten the engine pulled out of it yet.

I will be there, hopfully with a 412. Working towards that end anyway. Still have to paint the hood black, add the snarling teeth,...oh yeah, and put the transmission in, bolt up the axles, and put the engine in. Other than that, no problems mate.

I actually hate to admit this, but I've painted three vehicles ala Wal-Mart spray-paint. It's tough being a red-neck, but hey, it's a livin.

 Yeah, that is the red neck way to do it. You're supposed to use Krylon! I know it cost more than the Wal-Mart brand, but you get what you pay for! Krylon is MUCH better paint.

My bus made it into Hot VW's with a Krylon paint job . . . Actually, it's been in Hot VW's TWICE, and in VW Trends once . . . so what if it was being pushed all three times!

Krylon :D Thanks for the tip! I've got to paint the hood of the 412.

I painted my T-181 an OD green. I had some elderly woman come up to me in the grocery store parking lot and ask if it was the same vehicle our troops used in the war. As she was about 80 years old, I had no idea which war she was referring to, so I just said yes and that I got it Army Surplus.
