It was me that bought Jose's Gold 412 in Arkansas a few months ago. That would be cool if this was the original engine, but I e-mailed those people and according to them, the car this setup came from went to the crusher. Anyway, the Gold car luckily still has it's 4spd. in place! Not that it hurts to have another extra motor/tranny stashed away...

It is a twistedly small world. I met Jose in Dallas. he worked at the dealer. I was n with my mom and dad. I had just talked them into buying themselves a brand new, black, totally loaded 2000 passat with 4 motion and sport package (Damn!...what a fine car!). Jose was the guy that was filling out their warranty paperwork. My dad starts telling him...."my son has a wierd old VW". Jose says..."what kind?". I say a 73 2 door 412 with 4 speed! Little golden bricks started popping out of both of our asses...as we started yakking. Turns out he said...it had a minor fender bender...and needed the engine rebuilt. Now I remember....he said he had an uncle in Mexico that swore he couldget any VW parts....but that recently...his uncle had called and said that he could n't seem to find any for that car down there. Jose was about to give up. I was trying to help some...but did not have much time at that point. He said originally that he got the car in either seattle...or somwhere in oregon. Ray

Krispy Kremes?.......deeeewwwwd....thats not even funny. I guess the similarity is the hole in the middle. I guess the censorship sets in according to usage. Probably can't say "pack it into your ass deep...either....without conjuring up something sweet with a hole in it for someone  Ray

Ray, do you if Jose is still there? He is still the person on the title of the Gold 412 and I was trying to get a Missouri title for it. It's signed and everything, but no bill of sale! D'oh, and no place to write the purchase price on the title, so I need something signed from Jose saying I paid such and such a price to register it legally in Missouri. I'm trying to do this above board so that it doesn't bite me in the ass.

Yeah, I know that is one thought, but they are already extremely suspicious. They were looking up the names for fraud, asking all sorts of questions about how I acquired the car, telling me I'll never be able to title it here. That's what I get for being up front about the situation I guess. Anyway, it looks like I may be able to get this situation solved with at least a modicum of propriety here, which I feel I should do if it is possible.
