Just a thought

I know that STF is the original home for us, and we are all glad it's back up, but I was thinking we could continue to post over at the samba as well. There are a lot of people over there who have never heard of STF, and Everett was nice enough to make a spot for us. Maybe we can help a few people out who don't know where else to look.
Like I said, it's just a thought.

I agree, that seems the right (c) thing to do, but realize that I still will be here primarily. I'll stop in the samba occasionally, but STF will be my daily stop. My web site about the Type 4 engines is one of the reasons STF was created. Brian, who created STF, wanted a place for people working on Type 4s to meet and share information.
I even donated web hosting to this site for over one year, after we outgrew our free web host. So you can see why I intend on staying here as long as it is operating.

I will continue posting in both forums. I mainly post on the Samba in the RANTS and in the 68 to 79 Bay Window bus section (it's just more active there). But here I post in the SE forum, sometimes in the Type 4 Rum and HERE. I do believe we can snag those who visit the Samba and help them out.
Like the forums!

I like both forums and sites! They have created each other and it's great that the idea of coming together for the same reason kept the STF going!
I think it would be always nice to cross link formats and postings but I like the STF I guess since it really relates to me???! I love thesamba too it brought me and my new 412 together! I like the feel of both for what they offer! If you could have the interpreter to meld all the worlds VW forums into a universal hub of knowledge and interaction it would be the best for retention of knowledge and usage I guess! Kinda like the giant file cabinet of VWism....... LOL! Bill

I'll be at both, primary is STF, alternate is Samba. I actually can't get enough of talking about 411-412s. There's maybe a handful of people in Alabama that even know what a 412 is, so these forums are like my only outlet.
We've already picked up several folks from the Samba site.

That's exactly what I mean. Hopefully more will surface.
