i d,ot no if it is good idee , for to stop the rust on the tortion bar or the coil spring or some rond parts , he have différent size ,1/4to5 inchs diametres, 10foots long, diff.color and deep, if we do good clining on the parts, good paint and slide the shring over that is good protection for to stop the scrach or stone , for long périod ,????????

oh , thinks RAY , i use on my day job , for to seal at the perfection the électric union , (joint) wen you twits wire for connection ,you need seal , gum, marrette, etc , for to stop humidities , and bad contact , you can put on your électric connection for your car , it is nice , exe.( you have blue coil, blue wire plug , blue tortion bar , blue coil spring, etc,etc, and it is good for to seal ( electric plug in) 10 color , 10 size 10 lenth good ,good, ,,,salutation albert

Hmmm, that's an interesting idea. As long as as there wasn't a way for water to get under the edge, I think it could work. I would probably be more inclined to use a paint/dip type coating, though.

allo huber crap, the fabrication of shrink tube is ,,the plastic wich mémory , wen you by it is rond, afther you heat (wich air drier or cigaret ligther ) the tube have réduction same thing you have for foods in vaccuum pakcage (or seal) in your grocery store , if you need to seal something for umiditys , or wather , you put the tube over your parts (rond or square ,any forme )(you put the parts inside of the tube ) and you cut the lenth and afther you heat at 500degrés fr. wich air drier and the tube have réduction very thite on your parts ,

Shrink tube actually sounds like it would work decent for the coil spring area. It works fabulous for wiring in all places except fuel injection. The temps are too high in the engine compartment. The tube keeps shrinking. Cool ideas. Ray

allo ray your objection is good , for the injection wire , wend i said bleue coil , blue wire , i know on the independant vw delers parts ,they sale bleu distributor,blue électric wire (4 or 5 color for that ) and if your car is blue , coil spring , wich blue shing tub that is nice ,,,

AHHH, heat shrink can come in sizes big enough to wrap around an Elephant leg! The key to using it when it is that large is to heat it up evenly so that it doesnt wrinkle and cause pockets which WILL cause moisture to condense and cause rust.

yes ,ray , i use the tube on my audi (car) electric connection from 10 years and afther solder i put the tube , and i make 50,000miles years , and i sale my car afther 300,ooomiles and the tube give mi good service , i dt,no if the hot temp is more in audi car , i know the air cool car have running temp more hot , but wath is the différence , 50 degr,more hot inside the hood section ????? or the motor section(412). in the 4 doors or 2 doors wagon is more hot ????? i never do the test but my question for the tube ,was only for, if my sucgestion for tortion bar or coil spring (vw put a plastic paint over the coil spring) if the coil spring is paint wich good paint and if we put the tube over that may be that geve good protection for the stone , HYDRO POWER , use the tube on the hight voltage connection it is for that he have 5ins. tube , not for elephant leg or to replace RAMZES SAFE the most dangerous on that wen you put the propane torch onder that , ahah ( excuse the joke and mi english) i never go to english scool and i work on mi computer wich one finger only and that ask me big effort and long minutes salutation
