Sounds a little high to me also. Somebody out there will think it's a good deal though.

Guess it all depends on how bad you need it. Although I've seen whole cars go for less (not necessarily T4s though)

Ah, yes, but look carefully, it's for a 411, not a 412.

The position of the cutouts for the lights on the 411 is lower than the 412. The cutouts on the 412 panel are right up at the top, while this panel has them near the bottom.

No, it fits 412 as well. The early 412, after august of 72. They used the same rear lights and the same everything. I have rear fenders from a 411 on my 412 two door. They fit just fine. I did not catch the price on this part. What was it? Ray

Oh, guess I've never seen an early 412 sedan, all of mine have the higher light position. Oh, and I believe the asking price is $250 US (for insurance repair purposes from what I understand), I think Albert is the one selling it? Albert, I didn't mean to insult you, I'm envious you have such a rare part.

Really....thats pretty cheap for what it is. I can think of 3 mint condition 411's I have seen roll to the scrapper (cause I had no cash to save them :( )...but that had been dinged in the rear corner. Needed fender and valance. Without valance....they are nothing but rolling parts collections.
Remember the gold two door 4 speed that started east of Dallas and ended up in Arkansas? That...only needed the valance. If i had had that part available....I would have bought that gold car for about $250...and had it driving in a weekend. I know where you are coming from....yes...if you have to buy too many $250 dollar body parts you will be broke fast.....but that is NOS...meaning touble free. Thats a different disease.
Now.... Uber?....Dr. Crap?....DO NOT go out and get the itch to start an NOS parts collection! We...collectively ....do not have enough pull to keep the loan sharks from fitting you with "portland" galoshes. You have enough for the moment. You are officially...like me ....a type 4 parts "whore".....as I am sure there is not much...you would not do....for parts  Ray

 Yeah, I need to concentrate on getting one roadworthy now...by the way, I do have enough parts to fix the wrecked gold one now, as the other gold car has terminal rust on the C pillar/roof and probably will become the donor as the apron is decent, as well as having the back glass I need. I already have the good fender that came with it, as well as the rear window seal in decent shape. Then, I've got that hole-free rear decklid I got from that guy in California off of the samba.com. Then there is the need for a motor, which should be pretty easy. Then there is the yellow '73. I actually got it to run for a second with the dreaded Weber Progressive. I think that carb is shot, or the pump is putting out too much pressure. The motor sounded really good surprisingly. It basically needs a front clip and a just about everything else, the brake master is definitely shot, brake pedal is on the floor. I think my best bet is the blue '74 that I have here, which was daily driven until around 2000. It's basically straight, and only needs a couple of rusty spots fixed and some interior work. I think an oil cooler seal is bad, so I'm not sure if the motor needs to come out for that. The other blue car hasn't been driven since '86, but ran when parked.
