Greetings All -
Well as of last saturday my '73 was up and running more or less. After much praying to the VW Gods(wearing out rug and knees) I actually got her to out of the Garage. I felt like i had a newborn. I actually was able to back out of the garage and get thru 3 of the 4 gears before i saw the Local Police patrolling the parking lots of the apts(titled but not registered). I believe I actually may not have a gear/transmission issue. Though it will take me to other problems.
The next endevour is the wiring, floor pans, fuel gauge, fenders, rockers, gas cap/spout and the rest of the components of the convertible top. I guess i should also test the heater. Just wanted to take a moment and Give a Big Shout out to all those who helped, especially Tim and Bob and anyone who I may have missed(you know who you are). I am sure you will be hearing from me again real soon.
Thanks again...
Joe
