Size of fuel hose?

Post by justinshelton »

I need to replace all of the cloth-wrapped fuel lines on my '71 411. It's 7 mm hose, right?

I live in such a po-dunk rural area that I have to mail-order the correct VW fuel line, and I want to make sure I get the right stuff.

Thanks

Justin

Its really only a foot or two more than a type 3...but since the same hose also fits on the pressure sensor...I generally get 32 feet. Generally its about 28 feet. Yes..7mm....but....make sure it has "fuel injection" and made in Germany printed on the side of it. Ray

While you're ordering, may as well get other sizes as well. The eberspracher (auxillary heater) uses the smaller size (perhaps 3mm, maybe 5mm). I also live in Po-dunk USA. Several on-line companies sell fuel line by meter, or in a 10 meter bundle. good hunting. visit the friendly vendor sticky at the top of this forum.
