Hi I was wondering if wasser rod bolts can be used on type1 rods? I heard that they are stronger than std type1 bolts.
Thanks.

ARP is the way to go, but expensive.
AC.net sells h-beams that you can order with 24mm pins for not much more... Drop in far superior replacement, with 3/8" ARP bolts costing $20 extra.
The wasser uses a std length T1 rod with a 24mm pin.

I´m using stock type1 rods on my oxy. The rods are new, but I don´t have any bolts and nuts to go with. I heard/read that wasser rodbolts are stronger than stock type1 rodbolts. That´s why I was asking if they could be used as replacement.
I know ARP:s are the way to go, but they are not that easy to get here in Finland.
Thanks anyway

Although ACN give the option for 24mm pin, its my experience (with a type 4 rod) that they may not be able to deliver that size after all, so make sure you ask before making any decisions.

non-stretch only...

Do not reuse the stretch rod bolts found in the 2.1 engines (at least in north america). The common understanding is that once they have been used, they will not hold their tension when re-used. They are also only expected to last 150,000 miles when new. The earlier non-stretch rod bolts are preferred.
Apologies if you already know this,

So, the 1.9l engine rodbolts are stronger? I didn´t know that. Thanks wery much! (Yes, I´m going with new ones.) I´ll better order those then
I wish I had the money to buy H-beams, but I think I´ll manage with these I-beams (old, but never used Claudes Buggies). The only problem is really what bolts to use. I´ll try to find new 1.9wbx-bolts.
I´m only shooting to about 200hp
Thanks all

1.9 "DG" engine code rod bolts are the ones... (prob the same for the DF and 1.9i...)
I know an engine builder uses them in type 1 applications for tuned engine..

A relevant thread...

ARP-2000 PRO bolts, for some other app but apparently fit T1/T4 (and thus wasser) rods.
These be the strongest bolts one can get.
