Kickdown Solenoid Source?

Post by MGVWfan »

I haven't disassembled the AT yet, but I know the KD solenoid in my '73 412 shows infinite resistance from the external connector to ground, so either it's disconnected inside (and I do a happy dance :D ), or it's open (and I look for another one :x ). How hard are KD solenoids to find?

You know...I have never had to buy one. But...also look at the trannys of volvo 740/760. They used a kickdown solenoid that is remarably similar. Try Bulparts.com in dallas. Ray
