Didnt you, or was it ecdez who sent off for some fasty engine lids? When you got them how were their condition and can you give some info as to how the transaction went? I am about to break apart my 412 for a going over and want to decide whether to repair the lid I have or shoot for one from out west.

Well, I got one from California that was decent, just a little surface rust, but it was damaged on the upper corners during shipping. I think it is repairable with some work. I wanted a nicer one, so I got one from South Dakota, same guy that ecdez got one from I believe, it is immaculate, still has glossy paint! Then, I got one off the samba from the midwest somewhere, and it is decent, but has a few medium sized dings, and some tiny rust spots. A couple of them have been off of the car for a looooong time I bet, its the only reason they survived. If you can't find one, I may be able to be persuaded to part with one...

Edit: Make sure you tell them to package it well!

Let me go look at them when I get home and I'll get back to you, none have anything close to a rust hole, so I consider them all to be decent.
It's just they'll need a little bit of work to straighten some dings. Any of them would be an improvement over a rust-monster attacked decklid for sure.

I know, I know, I'm a big procrastinator!

I've been tired lately too. I work on my house (and cars if I can get to them) during weekends and I get worn out.
