Hey all, after finally getting the chance to follow Ray's pointers about my 412 lurching, I boiled it down to a bad AT modulator valve. So, if anybody got one laying around and would like to sell it to me, I certainely would appreciate it. I believe they are a common part to all ATs (T3s & T2s) of that era. As best I could see P/N 003325391C. Any help as to where to find that bugger is highly appreciated.

Thanks ray, I appreciate that. You can pass on their number and I'll do the calling. I've located one out of a type3 AT. I am pretty +ve its the same on Type3s & T4 busses. Right?

I have an auto tranny laying about - not quite complete though. I will have a look for you. If I have what you are looking for you can have it free - just pay for postage from South Africa. A 1kg parcel will probably cost about ten or fifteen dollars to send. Let me know if you are interested whilst I look around for the part.

Thank you wallace very much for your help. I may take you up on that, as I sure can't beat the price. But first let me see if the type 3 one I am getting will work, before robbing you of a spare needlessly. Thanks a million.

IIRC they come in three pressure ranges, indicated by a brown or yellow (or no) paint stripe. If you match the color you can usually get away without making any adjustments.

Long Enterprises lists only one P/N, 003 325 391

Thanks, Good stuff to know. Mine is the same P/N except it ends with a "C". I'll call Long Interprises.

I called, and they have them NEW, $50 + shipping. The lady that answered the Phone was very knowledgable too. She started asking me what made me think its the modulator valve, what tranny, and didn't get the usual jitters when told "its for a 412", acted very cool and asked, "what year", I said 74, she said "then its the 003 tranny". WOW, a woman after my heart :)
