hey folks I am new here I own two 74 412 wagons, I have been restoring one for about five years and was wondering if anyone knows where to find struts. and I saw that some of you are using rebuild kits on your calipers where are you getting them from? I found a place that sells new and remanufactured calipers.

Well, strut inserts are no longer being manufactured, and may never be again. Some are still lying around here and there, check ebay, crusty old specialty car parts houses, etc.. I have some Mexican made Boge inserts lying around I got off of ebay for $24.99. They may or may not be any good. I haven't tried them yet. Do a search for Ray Greenwood's many ideas and suggestions for building a new strut setup that should be far superior to the original. He has presented options ranging from very light to medium fabrication, with various ride heights. I know busdepot.com has rebuild kits for the calipers. Look for my recent brake question thread, a lot of good info in there. Welcome and good luck!

caliper rebuilds from Bus Depot are FAG and made in Germany (thank god the 412 shares calipers with the 914!)
