Yes you can, BUT I wouldnt, hydro cams really limit revs, if your like me and take your engines past 4k (which you can with no prob, red line at about 6k) then hydros are not for you. BUT if you dont like adjusting valves then get the Hydro.

I've got a mexi-made Type 1 with Type 4 hydros. I've not had a good experience with them. Have purchased solid Type 4 lifters to replace them. Everytime I crank the engine is sounds like its coming apart until the hydro lifters fill with oil (which leaks out when not running as they lay flat).
If someone gave me the hydro cam and hydro lifters for free I wouldn't use them.
