Redoing seat mechanism
Hey, am already getting the antsies to redo the seats, at least temporarily, till we do the sew fine thing. Plan on taking them out (I think Albert mentioned there is a stop in the back of a track to be bent) and restuff and repad. But here is the question; the backs seem to recline too much (~120deg) even at the most upright position. Speaking from the dark here before I dive, is there a way to rotate the reclining mechanism forward or some trick out there to bring the backs more forward?

Re: Redoing seat mechanism
If you take off the back of the seats (easy to do, even when they are still in the car) there are two adjusting mechanisms, one on each side of the seat. Basically they look like a small circle (or ring) on each side of the seat. Inside the circle is a little gear like mechanism that can be turned to adjust the seat back up and down. You will have to do this on both sides until the seat back is at the angle you want.Longbeach412 wrote:Hey, am already getting the antsies to redo the seats, at least temporarily, till we do the sew fine thing. Also for the gear mechanism there is an upper and lower bracket that keeps it centered in the circle. On my driver's seat the lower brackets for both sides were broken/missing. The seat did not stop at all and just went all the way back because of this. I ended up having to fabricate new brackets to fix the seat. So when you are in there make sure the upper and lower brackets on both sides are intact.
Thanks,
Kevin
